“The Best Week of Your Life” is the by line for Young Life camp. This past July, 16 teens from Tucker County had the opportunity to find out for themselves.
They traveled to Lake Champion, N.Y. with more than 50 other teens from the Eastern Mountains Young Life area, which includes Randolph and Upsher counties. A total of over 400 campers participated in this camp that week. They spent the week enjoying bike riding, a high ropes course and zip line, blobbing, canoeing, etc. in the breathtaking beauty of the mountains and lake in N.Y. They did this while hearing about the love of Christ. The comments from the teens ranged from, “amazing”, “wow”,and “I can’t wait to tell my friends.” They would describe this as “The Best Week of Their Life!”
Young Life was founded in 1941 as an outreach to teens in Texas. It spread from Texas to Colorado. It is now in every state and more than 80 countries around the world. The leaders love Jesus and teens and want to show them their best life possible.
Young Life meets in Parsons on Tuesdays at 7:29 p.m. For more info on Tucker County Young Life, go to their facebook page or contact Chopper Evans.
