Tucker United invites residents, public officials, business owners, and interested individuals to attend one of two upcoming public meetings to discuss the proposed Ridgeline Project, House Bill 2014, and the future of Tucker County.
The first event, a Community Potluck & Roundtable Discussion, will take place on from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12 at the Thomas Community Center. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair and a beverage. In addition to food and fellowship, guests can enjoy cornhole and a communal conversation focused on the Ridgeline Project and HB 2014.
Special guest Kelly Allen, Executive Director of the West Virginia Center on Budget and Policy, will provide insights and projections about HB 2014 and its potential impact on Tucker County.
The second event, a Community Information Session & Conversation, is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Tucker County Courthouse in Parsons. This session will feature a presentation with the most up-to-date information on the Ridgeline Project, HB 2014, and other key issues facing the community. The evening will also include a public Q&A session, giving residents the opportunity to ask questions directly, share information and concerns, and engage in open dialogue.
“These gatherings are about more than just policy, they’re about people and the future of Tucker County,” said Nikki Forrester, spokesperson for Tucker United. “We want to create a welcoming space where neighbors can come together to share a meal, hear from experts, ask questions, and ensure that every voice in Tucker County is heard.
“Our future depends on thoughtful conversations, and these events are an opportunity to build both understanding and camaraderie.”
Both events are free and open to the public, and Tucker United encourages all residents to attend, participate, and help shape the future of Tucker County.
