PARSONS – Two Parsons residents were indicted Tuesday by a Tucker County Grand Jury. Robin R. Maxson, 40, was indicted on two felony counts of sexual assault in the third degree and one felony count of sexual assault in the third degree and one count of distribution and display of obscene matter to a minor.
Maxson appeared in court Friday before Tucker County Circuit Court Judge James Courrier. There was no modification of his bond and Tucker County Prosecuting Attorney Ray LaMora III was granted a request to appoint a guardian ad litem.
Courrier said the possible penalties on the two counts of 3rd degree sexual assault could include one to five years in the penitentiary and up to a $10,000 fine for each of those counts and the distribution or display of obscene matter carries a potential for up to five years in prison and up to a $25,000 fine.
Maxson’s next hearing is slated for 4 p.m. July 20.
Caitlyn Rose Hebb, 22, was also indicted by the Tucker County Grand Jury. She appeared with her attorney Pat Nichols Friday in court.
Hebb was indicted on one felony count of child abuse resulting in injury. According to a criminal complaint filed in Tucker County Magistrate Court, Hebb allegedly threw a Sippy cup at an 8-year-old victim which hit her in the face and blackened the alleged victim’s left eye.
Tucker County Circuit Judge James Courrier ruled Hebb’s bond would be continued and told her the possible penalties for the charge she faces are either a $1 to $1,000 fine and a potential one to five year prison sentence or the court could give up to one year in jail.
Tucker County Prosecuting Attorney Ray LaMora III asked for a guardian ad litem to be appointed in the case and Courrier approved that request as well as a motion for discover.
Hebb’s next hearing is slated for 4 p.m. July 20.
All accused are presumed innocent until or unless proven guilty.
Also in Tucker County Magistrate Court – A preliminary hearing for James D. Wilson was held June 7. Tucker County Magistrate Riley Barb found probable cause on all 553 counts of sexual assault in the second degree and 553 counts of sexual abuse by parent, guardian, custodian or person in position of trust.
Wilson remains in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bond set at $50,000 cash-only.
