It is time to tee off to support your local, non-profit hospice and palliative care organization, West Virginia Caring Hospice. WV Caring is honored to announce our annual Tygart Golf Classic is now the ‘David A. Schwind Memorial Golf Classic.’
“David was not only our Chief Financial Officer, but he was also a long-term supporter and friend. Along with his family, he loved coming to Tygart Lake State Park to play in our annual golf tournament. The WV Caring family misses him profoundly and we are proud to honor his philanthropic legacy, along with everything he did for our non-profit hospice,” said Malene Davis, Founding President and Chief Visionary Officer.
It is on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Tygart Lake Golf Course in Grafton, WV. All proceeds from the tournament will support the mission of WV Caring providing end-of-life care for the terminally ill and their families.
The format is a four-man shot gun scramble. The cost to play is $80 per person or $320 per foursome for eighteen holes of golf. The event starts with registration at 8 AM and tee time will be 9 AM. Lunch will be provided following the tournament by Rev’s BBQ food truck from Morgantown, WV. All participants will also receive snacks and refreshments during the day, door prizes and awards for top teams and individual contests.
