On Thursday, Feb. 16, at approximately 4 p.m., Cpl. J.E. Kopec of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police was dispatched to a single vehicle accident at the intersection of US219 and WV72 in Parsons. The driver, Angela Lantz, of Hambleton, operated a 2013 Ford Explorer when she lost consciousness while approaching the Sheetz red light. She traveled through the intersection and collided with the Veteran’s War Monument Memorial Wall. Assisting at the accident were Tucker County Sheriff’s Deputy B.T. Zirk, Tucker County EMS, Parsons Volunteer Fire Department Co. 10 and Tucker County DOH.
