ELKINS, West Virginia — The West Virginia Hospital Association has awarded Davis Medical Center the Gold, Commitment to Excellence award.
The award recognizes DMC for developing and promoting quality improvement activities; improving the health of West Virginians; and raising awareness of nationally accepted standards of care proven to enhance patient outcomes, according to a news release.
Davis was one of 23 West Virginia hospitals to receive the Gold distinction. In addition, four hospitals achieved Silver honors and one achieved a Bronze honor.
The Honors Program is a product of the WVHA Quality Committee. It is updated annually to reflect the quality improvement topics on which the WVHA Quality Committee has recommended hospital action in the pursuit of excellence during the program year.
