CHARLESTON – Small businesses throughout the state are invited to take part in a survey from the West Virginia Small Business Development Center.
The survey on the WVSBDC website WVSBDC.org/WestVirginia, and can be completed in about 15 minutes. Anne Jones, executive director of the Tucker County Development Authority, said she hopes local businesses will participate in the survey.
“The Small Business Development Center is looking to learn about issues facing small business owners and what they need to be successful today,” Jones said. “I hope West Virginia small business owners will take the time to complete the survey.”
WVSBDC Director Kristina Oliver said the survey will be open through midnight Jan. 31, and is open to all small businesses in W.Va.
“WVSBDC continuously surveys the businesses we work with,” Oliver said. “For this survey, we extend the invitation beyond our clients to include as many West Virginia small businesses as possible. The more that participate, the better we can understand the issues and the needs facing West Virginia’s small businesses today.”
Oliver said the survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and asks about demographics, business support, workforce, regulations, operations, market conditions and taxes and fees. She said survey respondents will be anonymous unless the participant chooses to provide information in the comment section at the end of the survey. The West Virginia Department of Commerce Communications will collect the survey results and provide a summary to WVSBDC,
