Tucker County Goes Purple

Help us raise awareness and support about substance use disorders and recovery. All month, businesses and homes are encourage to put up purple lights. Sept. 21st, Rally for Recovery 2K Walk at Mill Race Park from 2pm-6pm. Sept. 24th, Community Yoga at 104 Education Lane, 2nd Floor starting at 6pm. Sept. 25th, Save a Life Day at St. George Medical Clinic Pharmacy from 10am-1pm. Sept. 26th, Wear your purple and join us for Friday Night Lights.

The Tucker Heritage Art Exhibit

The Tucker Heritage Art Exhibit is open Saturday and Sunday from 11-5 during September. Featuring a collection of almost 40 panels of Tucker County historical signage created by award-winning graphic artist and historian David Vago, this exhibit covers stories and local legends from 1889 – 1950, allowing residents and visitors to experience the entire range of the Friends of Blackwater historical signage in one location—the basement of the Babcock Lumber Boom and Lumber Co. on William Avenue (The Wandering Caravan shop).

Retired School Employees Meeting Wed September 17 at noon

TC Retired School Employees meeting is Wednesday September 17 at TC Senior Center in Parsons. Lunch is available at 11:30 if you wish, meeting to follow at 12:00 noon. All retirees are welcome.

Kingdom Kids Movie Night

Friday, September 19th from 5pm – 10pm at St. John’s Church, 107 River St., Parsons. Supper, games and a movie for children and youth. Children 5 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent. Come and bring a friend!
