MGC has an open membership. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at the Five Rivers Public Library at 6 p.m
Receiving second place red ribbon was Faith Moore’s entry of an “In the Garden” wreath decorated with lettuce leaves, seed packs, chicks, bunnies and birds and topped off with a John Deer tractor.Mountaineer Garden Club’s annual Easter display garnered many votes from the public. The Blue Ribbon went to Glenda Lipscomb’s delightful blue Easter basket with spring flowers, bunnies, Easter eggs galore and highlighted by a blue polka dot bow.Vivian Shomo’s interpretation of Spring Fever was an antique bird cage inhabited by a yellow bird guarding her nest full of eggs with purple bow and yellow tulips received Honorable mention.Third place yellow ribbon went to Linda Sherman’s bountiful display of mixed daffodils, greenery, a cheerful yellow polka dot bow displayed in a large clear jar filled with speckled eggs.
