The Canaan Valley NWR in Davis, is currently removing Scotch Pine trees which is a part of the invasive species program.
Scotch Pine is a non-native tree species that competes with native vegetation. The Refuge will be giving these trees away to the public for free on December 1 and 2 from 10 a..m. to 2 p.m. at the Refuge office/visitor center. There will be limited quantities and trees cannot be reserved. Trees will be available on a first come, first serve
