Beginning October 1 until December 31, fires may only be burned between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. There can be no burning from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. and all fires must be attended at all times. Fire areas must be cleared down to mineral soil for a minimum distance of 10 feet around what is being burned. If a fire escapes, the individual is liable for the costs of the fighting of the fire and any damages caused to others.
