PARSONS – Those working at the Tucker County Courthouse took a break Wednesday to share a friendship, food and festivities for the Christmas season. Folks had their fill of ham, sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, salads and delicious desserts while celebrating with coworkers and friends.
Tucker County Commissioner Diane Hinkle said the event was a welcome treat for everyone.
“It’s just a real nice opportunity to get together with friends and coworkers and celebrate the season,” Hinkle said. “We are all so busy that sometimes we don’t take time to really remember what it’s all about. Times like these are good.”
Lowell Moore, Tucker County Commission President, said he was well pleased with Wednesday’s gathering.
“I think we had a great turnout and I think everyone is having a great time together,” Moore said. “It’s just a great time to get together and share fellowship with one another. I am pleased with the representation we had, and I wish our Tucker County Circuit Judges could have joined our celebration.”
Moore said he wishes everyone well in the holiday season.
“I just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a healthy, prosperous New Year,” Moore said.
Patrick Darlington, Tucker County Commissioner, said the Christmas luncheon was wonderful.
“There was a great turnout,” Darlington said. “I was glad to see everybody come together and share a great meal. It was fun to celebrate Christmas together and enjoy one another’s company and socialize.”
Darlington said he was glad everyone came out and had a good time.
