My Bench Legged Beagles
I have two little bench legged beagle dogs. They listen for my Jeep every evening when I come home from work. They met me at the door, tails wagging, wanting my attention. They were like two kids that missed their mother.

My husband got this for me in the summer and said it was my Christmas present when he worked at the county land fill.

The Manger Where Jesus Was Born
There was no room in the Inn for him, so they had to take him to a manger to be born, where the animals stay.

My granddaughter made this bell for me in kindergarten; she is now 40 years old

Mt Special Christmas Ornament is my now grown up daughter’s kindergarten photo on my tree.
Lorraine Hinkle
My favorite ornament is a 1986 school picture of my daughter Lisa inside a frame of a Christmas tree.

This ornament was made by Tim and Neil Auvil. It is a sputnik created the year of the first object put into space. This was their imagination and this has hung on my tree every year since. Tim says “Mom, why don’t you throw that thing away?” I said, “No, it has a special meaning to me.” Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Needing to downside, and having little storage space, I have given away and donated most of my Christmas decorations. One of my few favored ornaments left was given to me a few years ago by a dear friend and neighbor, Evelyn Moore. Thanks for her wonderful inspiration and friendship over the past years.

I have so many special ornaments from my family that I can’t choose one. I picked the one from one of my special students where I worked at Hamrick School. This one is the one Michael Manos gave me before he moved to Virginia. He was just a sweet little boy. Another nice ornament was made for me was from Ashley Long along with other special children.
Evelyn Moore
My favorite ornament is a replica of the Holy Family. Since Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, Love, and Families. This to me shows the Perfect Family, that’s why this is my favorite.
Merry Lowe
My favorite ornament is a Christmas ball. It is special because my sister painted it for me.

My favorite ornament is a star Christmas card ornament. It is special because it is beautiful and my friend made it for me.

My favorite ornament is a homemade Christmas wreath. It is made out of Christmas cards. I learned how to make them when I was in the 8th grade. I love to see people smile when they see my wreath.

My special ornament is a crystal heart with two doves and a heart in the center. My husband, Doug, and I purchased this on our honeymoon in Dec. 1985. We bought several other crystal ornaments for our first Christmas tree. We added to our collection each December for many years.

I always liked red bulbs, they look so pretty on the Christmas tree.

My Christmas Ball is a favorite ornament because my granddaughter taught me to make it by pouring paint into the ball and turning it so the paint rolls around the ball.

A cowboy at saloon doors holding a sign”Merry Christmas y’all”. Humorous. Always puts a smile on ones face for Christmas time.

Snowman, reminding me of winters and Christmases in Michigan and West Virginia (even Florida except they were ‘cotton’). The white for Christ’s purity – The three balls of snow Holy Trinity – The carrot nose = blessing of a ‘good crop’ and coal button eyes for the miners in our families.
