Lady Mt. Lions Softball Update

CAMP KIDD – The Tucker County Softball team hosted Pocahontas County on Monday April 18th for two games. Tucker County dropped the first game 15-3 and then lost 10-0 in the nightcap.
In the first contest the Lady Mt. Lions collected 6 hits, but could only produce 3 runs from those hits. Melanie Adams led Tucker County with 1 double. Gabby Zais, Dominique Meadows, Camryn Cummings, Lindsey Herron and Cheyenne Phillips had a single for the Lady Mt. Lions in the 15-3 loss.
In the second game Lindsey Herron led Tucker County at the plate with a 2 for 2 performance as she ended with 1 single and 1 double. Gabby Zais collected a single to give Tucker County just 3 hits. Pocahontas County got 8 hits and scored 10 runs to get the win 10-0.

CAMP KIDD – The Lady Mt. Lions hosted a double header against Pendleton County on Tuesday April 19th. Pendleton County came out on fire in the first contest to get the win 26-1. In the second game the visiting Lady Wildcats took home a 11-0 win.
Tucker County managed just 1 hit in the first game and that came on a single from Camryn Cummings. The Mt. Lions gave up 18 hits and walked Pendleton County 10 times. Pendleton County got the win 26-1.
In the second game the hitting was the same for Tucker County as they picked up 1 hit as Gabby Zais connected for a single. Pendleton County countered with 8 hits to give them the victory 11-0.
PHILIP-BARBOUR – Tucker County traveled to Philip-Barbour for one game on Wednesday April 20th. The Lady Mt. Lions scored 2 runs on the evening, but that wasn’t enough as the Lady Colts won the game 12-2.
Tucker County struggled to get their bats going as they collected 3 hits. Cheyenne Phillips, Camryn Cummings and Gabby Zais had 1 hit each. Zais and Cummings scored the 2 runs for the Mt. Lions, but Philip-Barbour scored 12 runs to pick up the home victory 12-2.
The Lady Mt. Lions will be back in action tonight Wednesday April 27th at Southern for a single game at 4:30pm. Tucker County will then host Southern on Monday May 2nd for their last regular season game of the season at 5pm. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
