BUCKHANNON – The Tucker County Girls’ & Boys’ Track teams traveled to Buckhannon-Upshur on Tuesday April 26th for a 6 team meet. The Meet was called due to lighting and severe weather after just 8 events and the Tucker County Girls’ team took 1st place with a total team score of 73 points. The Boys’ teams finished just 6 events before the weather canceled the meet and the Mt. Lions Boys’ team placed 5th place with a team score of 24 points.
Girls’ Results: 100m: 1st Sydney Moore(13.57), 5th Sydney Nestor(14.44), 7th Cecily Strawderman(15.14). 400m: 3rd Emily Crosten(1:06.25), 8th Mikayla Long(1:09.43), 18th Sheyenne Delawder(1:16.39). 1600m: 4th Madison Reall(6:20.40), 6th Riley Evans(6:26.52), 8th Mikala Betler(6:51.08). 100m Hurdles: 2nd Elizabeth Nichols(17.42), 5th Natalie Evans(19.34), 7th Kelcee James(19.82). 4x200m: 2nd J.Walker, K.Bates, S.Delawder, E.Nichols(1:59.95). 4x800m: 1st E.Crosten, M.Long, M.Reall, J.Walker(10:32.66). High Jump: 4th Mikala Betler(4’04”), 5th Sheyenne Delawder(4’00”). Shot Put: 1st Carleigh Bolyard(32’09.5”), 4th Lydia Mullenax(30’03.5”), 5th Zoe Sypolt(28’00.25”). Overall Team Rankings: 1st Tucker County(73), 2nd Buckhannon-Upshur(56), 3rd Philip-Barbour(40), 4th East Fairmont(35), 5th Lincoln(23), 6th Webster County(16).
Boys’ Results: 100m: 5th Jacob Davis(12.43), 8th Eddie Kachmarek(12.80), 9th Brody Strawderman(12.94). 400m: 6th Jack Melnick(56.77), 7th Jacob Davis(57.02), 12th Brett Reall(1:00.45). 1600m: 11th Chris Chambers(5:40.48), 12th Jonathan Rhodes(6:00.37), 15th Nathaniel Rader(6:09.96). 110m Hurdles: 1st Marcus Mason(17.22), 3rd Will Callaway(18.54), 6th Logan Pennington(19.26). 4x200m: 4th B.Callaway, E.Kachmarek, G.Pennington, N.Rader(1:44.33). 4x800m: 6th J.Howell, J.Melnick, N.Rader, B.Reall(9:33.16).
