PARSONS – A Hambleton man pleaded guilty to one felony count of breaking and entering recently in Tucker County Circuit Court. Cory Allen Lester, 21, pleaded guilty to one felony count of breaking and entering before Tucker County Circuit Judge Philip Jordan Jr. The charges stem from a break in Dec. 12 at the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
Jordan sentenced Lester to 1 to 10 years in the state penitentiary but set that aside and placed him on five years of probation, with the first two being spent on home confinement. Jordan also dismissed a charge against Jordan of petit larceny.
A request for a special prosecutor was made in regard to the charges of felony breaking and entering against Howard Patrick (Trey) Hagen of Dry Fork and Jesse James Burns of Parsons. Attorney Timothy Gentilozzi asked for a special prosecutor because Tucker County Prosecuting Attorney Ray LaMora served as an attorney for Burns previously. Jordan continued the matter against the two men until the special prosecutor is appointed.
