Mountaineer Garden Club welcomed WV Garden Club state president, Martha Hilton and Tygart Valley District Director, Patricia Mays, to their annual August picnic at the home of Ben and Jean Long. At the conclusion of the picnic lifetime membership certificates were awarded to Linda Hockman, Sharon Kidwell and Jean Long. Diamond Membership certificates were awarded to Vivian Shomo and Linda Hockman. Patricia Mays, Tygart Valley District Director shared information re: the Fall district meeting to be held at Adaland in September and invited the members to attend. Martha Hilton, WVGC State President shared information re: Spring 2024 state convention to be held at Glade Springs. All interested garden club members are encouraged to attend.
