The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
Naomi Luiccle Yelich, of Hambleton, has been charged with Forging or uttering other writing; penalty; creation of unauthorized demand draft. The complaint states that on Saturday, Nov. 25 Trooper R.S. Musgrave received a call complaint from Robert Donahue. He wanted to report one of his checks and been stolen and cashed. He stated Naomi Yelich was allegedly the individual who took his check and cashed it.
On the same date, Musgrave traveled to the victim’s residence and obtained a copy of the forged check. The check was written out to the defendant to be the receiver of $20 with the victim’s signature written on Nov. 23. He advised that he did not give the defendant permission to use his check or charge his account. Musgrave obtained a previous check signed by the victim, compared signatures and noticed distinct differences. According to the victim’s account the transaction happened at the CITGO located at 55 Blackman Flats, Rd. Hambleton.
On Wednesday, Nov. 29 Musgrave traveled to the above location in order to obtain footage of this transaction. He observed the defendant pull into the parking lot and proceed into the store. She approached the register, signed the check and hands to cashier. At this time the check is cashed and the money is returned to the defendant and she is seen taking it out of the store.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.
