Barbour, Preston & Tucker Counties, WV: North Central WV Community Action Association, Inc., a
private non-profit serving low-income families in Barbour, Greenbrier, Marion, Monongalia, Preston,
Pocahontas, Randolph, Taylor, and Tucker Counties, is seeking qualified volunteers for the Board of
Directors. Interested parties must live in Barbour, Preston & Tucker County. The closing date to submit
your application is May 30, 2023. We are looking for eager volunteers from one of our community
sectors:
Low-Income Sector Info and Application
Members of the Low-Income Sector should be prepared to advocate on behalf of low-income families
and communities and bring real perspective to the needs of the low-income community. Low-Income
Board applicants should be willing to provide verification of household income that is at or below 80% of
Area Median Income for their county (please go to http://www.wvhdf.com/programs/home-orogram
type 2022 HOME Income Limits in the Search bar (top left) to view local Area Median Incomes for your
county, AND for more information including an application contact our Corporate Office via email at

chosen in a democratic fashion by local low-income communities in North Central WV Community
Action’s service area.
Public Voting for Low-Income Board Members
Public voting for low-income Board Members will be held on June 6, 2023. Voting locations/times —
Marion County voting will take place at 215 Scott Place (Homeless Shelter Office) in Fairmont 9am —
3pm, Taylor County voting will take place at the local Community Action Office on 20 East Main Street in
Grafton 9am — 3pm & Preston County voting will take place at the local Community Action Office on 428
Morgantown Street Suite 2 in Kingwood 9am — 3pm. All community members are encouraged to pay a
visit to their local North Central WV Community Action Office and cast their vote for low-income sector
members of the Board of Directors; to cast your vote for the low-income Board representative please
contact your local North Central WV Community Action Office.
