The Parsons Senior Center hosted the monthly outpost on February 6, 2024.  Linda Bonner welcomed everyone, led the Lord’s Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance and the group sang “God Bless America.” Everyone sang “Happy Birthday’ to Collin Sutton.

Sharon Daniels recognized National Flannel Day coming on February 10 with pictures and stories.  She also paid tribute to the ground hog who did not see his shadow on Ground Hog Day meaning an early spring.

Linda Bonner read the “Ode to Golden Years”, announced a 2-day trip to Lancaster for June 12/13, and a Valentine Day celebration to be held on Thursday February 15 at the center.  Folks who wish to go on the trip should sign up quickly.

Becky Arbogast played piano and sang some songs with her husband Kevin.  Then the audience was delighted when she invited everyone to sing along with lots of ole time favorite hymns.  Door prizes were won by Shirley Cassidy, Nellie Workman, and Linda Cassidy.

Attending in addition to the above were Jim and Meg Buddingh, Raymond Collins, Ruth Connell, Sharon Daniels, Diane Dilly, Kenny Knotts, Betty Knotts, Virgil Knotts, Barb McClain, Earl Moore, Karl Myers, Don Nestor, Rita Roberts, Eleanor Nestor, Patsy Bonner, Sandy Owens, Patty Wilfong, Ida Workman, Nellie Workman, Betty Sturm, Dale Varner, David Varner, Arlene Ramsey, Virginia Popio, Jean Myers, Buddy Arnold, Deloris Kelley, Debbie Simmons, Vickie Cutright, and Joanne Zickafoose.

Please call the senior center at 304-478-2423 for further information on activities or services offered.
