Because it is getting closer to Spring, we’d like to remind you of some of the activities going on at our Senior Centers. Our Parsons Center has Bingo on Tuesdays after lunch until approximately 1:00 p.m. They serve lunch every week day from 11:30 to 12:30. Our monthly Outpost (covered-dish dinner) is held on the 1st Tuesday of the month. Our Goldenaires Choir sings every Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30. Something new—we will be starting a chair exercise class on Wednesdays beginning on March13, 2024. This will be gentle movements with stretches. There will be nothing done on the floor, just sitting and standing. We’d love to have lots of people join us at noon until about 12:30 p.m.
Our Mt. Top Center has Bingo every Tuesday and Thursday and covered dish dinners (Outpost) every 2nd Wednesday of the month. Their next one is scheduled for March 13, 2024. They serve lunch on Mondays through Fridays for a suggested donation. For more information about activities there, please call 304-463-4425.
Our Outpost at Flanagan Hill will begin again on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. We will meet there at noon on the 4th Wednesday from March until October.
We will start having our Outpost at St. George Community Church on April 18, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. These will be held every 3rd Thursday from April until November.
Both of our centers, Parsons and Mt. Top, will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on Thursday, March 14,2024. Please join us for the “Wearin’ of the Green.”
On Thursday, March 28, 2024 both centers will be celebrating Easter. We are hoping that the Easter Bunny will make an appearance. We may also be having a small Easter egg hunt.
