Parsons Senior Center held their monthly outpost on March 5, 2024.  Linda Bonner welcomed everyone, led the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of “God Bless America”.  Betty Sturm, Dale Varner, Earl Moore, Jim Buddingh, Virginia Popio, Anna Fitzwater, and Mable Fitzwater had March birthdays and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to them.

Patty Wilfong read “Tapestry of Spring”, and Arlene Ramsey read “Daffodils”.  Sharon Daniels presented “Why is There Daylight Saving Time” and Linda Bonner did a reading on “Daylight Saving Time”.

Reverend Greg Smith, pastor of the First Baptist Church, entertained the group with wonderful singing of several lovely hymns.  Door Prizes were won by Nellie Workman, Diane Dilly, and Greg Smith.

Kenny Knotts asked the blessing for the meal.  Attending in addition to the above were Betty Bennett, Meg Buddingh, Shirley Cassidy, Raymond Collins, Ruth Connell, Betty Knotts, Virgil Knotts, Barb McClain, Colin Sutton, Karl Myers, Don Nestor, Jane Parsons, Rita Roberts, John Grafton, Linda Cassidy, Twila Smith, Sharon Cassidy, Cindy Knotts, Sue Carroll, Ida Workman, Nellie Workman, Dale Varner, David Varner, Buddy Arnold, Deloris Kelley, David Sharp, Patsy Bonner and Eleanor Nestor.

The next Parsons outpost will be Tuesday, April 2 beginning at 10:30 am.  Come, bring a covered dish to add to the luncheon, and enjoy good entertainment and fellowship with others.  If any questions, please call the center at 304-478-2423.
