The Town of Davis voted March 27th to hold a special election June 8th on the Town’s new Zoning Ordinace. “We will have an election,” Tomson said.
Tomson said that the Town has worked out issues with the Secretary of State’s office surrounding the election and the Town is ready to move forward with a public vote on the ordinance. “We have finally worked out all the legal issues with the Secretary of State, as far as the Zoning Ordinance,” Tomson said.
Tomson proposed two dates at the meeting that the election could be held on. “I am going to propose we have an election here either the 8th of June or the 22nd of June,” Tomson said.
The Council decided on June 8th. Council discussion on the matter included time needed to draft the ordinance and future public readings once drafted. A motion on the election date of June 8th passed unanimously by the Council.
Town of Davis Council meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Davis Town Hall. Meeting Notices and Agendas are posted on the Town of Davis website.
