January 22nd was designated Tucker County Day 2026 by the West Virginia Senate. Representatives from across the County were on hand at the Legislature to showcase all that Tucker County is about. The designation came via Senate Resolution 9 (SR 9). Those on hand included the Tucker County Commission, Tucker United, Town of Davis Mayor Alan Tomson, the Tucker County Development Authority, Berry Best Catering, Camp Caring, Laurel Creek Farm, Tucker Community Foundation, the Youth Leadership Association, Canaan Valley Spa and Wellness Center, Mountain Music Festival, Canaan Valley State Park and Resort, Tucker County Convention and Visitors Bureau, among others. Tucker County Day is an annual event at the State Legislature held to showcase and promote Tucker County at the State level in Charleston.
