Tucker County drops game at Southern, MD 8-0

OAKLAND,MD – The Mt. Lions Baseball team could only manage to get one game in this past week due to the rain. Tucker County traveled to Southern on Wednesday May 4th. Southern controlled the game and got the home victory over the Mt. Lions 8-0.
Tucker County managed just 3 hits in the contest versus the Rams pitching. Justin Fike led Tucker County with 2 singles and Corrick Ambrose collected 1 single for the Mt. Lions. Bailey Bennett took the loss for Tucker County as he allowed 8 runs, 9 walks and struck out 3 batters.
Tucker County(4-16) was scheduled to begin Sectional play on Monday May 9th at home against Union. The winner of that game will travel to Tygarts Valley. Sectional play will continue this week as it is a double elimination style play. For complete schedule and more info got to TuckerCountySports.com.
