PARSONS – The Tucker County Giving Circle in conjunction with the Tucker Community Foundation has announced that their grant cycle for 2024 will start on Friday, August 30, 2024 with a deadline of Friday, September 27, 2024 at 3pm. Grant applications can be submitted electronically by email to grants@tuckerfoundation.net, hand delivered to the Tucker Community Foundation office, located on the second floor of the Tucker County Board of Education Annex, 100 Education Lane, Parsons by 3pm, or mailed with a postmark of September 27, 2024, to PO box 491, Parsons, WV 26287.
The Tucker County Giving Circle is a relatively new organization, formed in 2020, with the goal of creating a network of support to address the needs of women and children of Tucker County. Working in partnership with the Tucker Community Foundation, they annually award grants to Tucker County not-for-profit organizations that align with their mission of increasing the life skills of women and children. All grants are funded by annual dues paid by the Tucker County Giving Circle members. Grant amounts will vary from year to year, depending on the number of members and the number of grant applications. In 2020, their first year in existence, the Giving Circle awarded a total of $4,673 in grants, last year the Giving Circle grant award amount grew to $11,983.
All organizations should review the Eligibility Criteria for application, prior to applying. Each application must meet all three criteria to receive funding from the Giving Circle. The three eligibility criteria for application are listed below:
- Grant funds must be used to increase the life skills of women and/or children of Tucker County.
- Organizations must be a not-for-profit, 501(c)3, church or a government entity.
- Organizations must be based in Tucker County.

Grant applications must be turned into the Tucker Community Foundation’s office located at 100 Education Lane, Parsons WV 26287 by September 27th at 3 pm. They can also be mailed, to PO Box 491, Parsons WV 26287, with a postmark date of September 27th. Grants can be electronically submitted to: grants@tuckerfoundation.net.
