Tucker County Track Teams perform well at State Meet

CHARLETSON – The Tucker County Girls’ & Boys’ Track teams traveled to Charleston to compete in the State Track Meet at Laidley Field on Friday May 20th and Saturday May 21st. The Tucker County Girls’ team took 6th place with a team score of 40 points. The Boys’ team finished in 15th place also with a team score of 14 points. Both teams collected 30 medals total with 19 medals for the Girls’ and 11 medals for the Boys’. The Girls’ Shuttle Hurdle Relay team captured the State Championship. The Girls’ 4x200m Relay team and the 4x400m Relay team finished 2nd to bring home State Runner-Up Medals. The Boys’ team got at 3rd place finish from Eddie Kachmarek in the Discus Throw and a 4th place finish by the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team. Below are the full results for our Tucker County Athletes:
Girls’ Results: 400m: 6th Emily Crosten(1:02.55), 2nd Sydney Moore(1:02.59), 7th Sheyenne Delawder(1:11.30). 3200m: 14th Madison Reall(13:16.51). 100m Hurdles: 3rd Elizabeth Nichols(15.88). 4x100m: 11th C.Strawderman, S.Nestor, S.Delawder, E.Nichols(55.49). 4x200m: 2nd E.Crosten, J.Walker, E.Nichols, S.Moore(1:49.25). 4x400m: 2nd E.Crosten, M.Long, J.Walker, S.Moore(4:15.28). 4x800m: 5th E.Crosten, M.Reall, M.Long, J.Walker(10:30.86). Shuttle Hurdle: 1st S.Moore, S.Nestor, J.Walker, E.Nichols(1:06.88). Long Jump: 4th Sydney Moore(16’0.25”). Shot Put: 6th Carleigh Bolyard(30’05.25”), 8th Lydia Mullenax(30’0.5”), 14th Zoe Sypolt(27’04.25”). Discus Throw: 9th Carleigh Bolyard(93’02”).
