Tucker FFA member assist with annual WVU Extension Progressive Agriculture Safety Day.
During the first week of school, WVU Extension’s Tucker County office held a Safety Day for 5th – 8th grade students from TVEMS and DTEMS. On August 29th, students met at Camp Kidd, moving throughout different stations, sponsored by various Tucker County agencies. Covering topics from Farm equipment, EMS, fire, ATV, firearms, drug awareness, sun skin care, water and mindfulness. With lunch supplied by Kingsford for all whom participated.
Tucker FFA members and their advisor, Paul Pennington, were assigned groups of students to guide throughout the day’s events.
Members in attendance: Marky, Emily, Alicia, Makenna, Ava, Braxton, Jon, Alania, Rachel, Ivan, Mary, Hannah, Matthew and Bailey.
