This is a photo of four Vance men who worked in the lumber industry. They are (left to right) Frank Vance, Snowden Vance, Arnold Vance, Mason “Doc” Vance. They worked in various sawmills. It is reported that in the 1950’s they worked for Preston Hardwoods. It is also said that Snowden sawed the last log at the Horton Mill.
