Winter Weather Reports on Local Highways

With the latest in a series of Winter Weather events hitting the Tucker County community, local emergency responders have been answering road related calls. Several traffic calls were reported throughout the area during the latest bouts of weather.

In Davis, on Corridor H on Thursday, December 11th, near C Haul Road and Buffalo Coal Road, there was a three vehicle incident reported around 6:30 a.m. Two vehicles were reported to be on their sides and one had rear ended the others. There was no word on if there were any injuries.

In Thomas, on Wednesday, December 10th, around 4 p.m. a tractor trailer was reported jackknifed between the water tower and the Old Sand plant on Seneca Trail. There were unknown injuries reported in the incident.

On Thursday, December 11th just before 8 a.m. a report of a vehicle impacting a telephone pole was reported on Appalachian Highway and Cortland Road in Davis. The driver was reported to have been sitting behind the wheel. There was no word on any injuries.

In Thomas on Sunday December 14th at around 7:30 a.m., a report was made of a vehicle over the embankment next to a tree on Seneca Trail near Hillside Drive, Brown Street, Spruce Street and Coalfield Highway.
