Mountaineer Garden Club congratulates winner of the May Residential Yard of the Month, Carroll Precht of Long Street on Blackman Flats. A brick flower box anchors the front yard and is filled with red and white poppies. Landscaping around the house includes a graceful Japanese maple and assorted shrubbery.
Business Yard of the Month was awarded to one of the newest businesses in Parsons, River City Inn. Beautiful double flower boxes are located in the parking lot filled with red Japanese Barberry plants and golden cypress shrubs.
