Little Mr. and Miss Mountain Lion Crowned

The 2013 Little Mr. and Miss Mountain Lion was crowned on Friday, Sept. 6, at halftime of the Tucker County High School vs. Tygarts Valley football game.  For one month, 14 contestants and their TCHS cheerleaders collected pennies for votes and the little boy and girl with the most votes were crowned the title holders.
The TCHS cheerleaders are grateful to all the parents, family members and friends who have sold chances, baked cookies, bought T-shirts, and contributed in any way to make this fundraiser a success for our squad!  The funds raised help to purchase uniforms, pay for transportation to away games, meals, and expenses involved in cheer competitions, as well as pay for spirit buses for the students to attend football games, and boys and girls basketball tournament games, spirit items for fans, and meals for teams.
The contestants were:
Emerson Elaine Cangley, age five of Thomas.  Emerson is the daughter of Mark and Bethany Cangley, and sister to Sydney and Seth.
Sadie Elizabeth Ends, age five, of Parsons.  Sadie is the daughter of Rhonda and Jason Ends, and is about to be a big sister very soon.
Gabriella Gross, age five, of Thomas.  Gabriella is the daughter of Heather and Kerry Gross.
Izzy Hamric, age five, of Davis.  Izzy is the daughter of Jay and Heidi Hamric, and the little sister to Jake and Jesse.
Chloe Jones, age five, of Parsons.  Chloe is the daughter of Jon and Lisa Jones and the little sister to Daniel.
Johnna Kay Ruth Mullennex, age five, of Parsons.  Johnna is the daughter of Debbie Thompson and the little sister of Mariah and Austin Parsons
Racheall Dale Owens, age four, of Parsons.  Racheall is the daughter of Roxcella and Brian Owens and the little sister of Ryan.
Brooklyn Rain Pauley, age five, of Parsons.  Brooklyn is the daughter of Molly Watson.

Jailyn Meadow Pauley, age six, of Parsons. Jailyn is the daughter of Molly Watson.
Carson Dearborn, age five, of Davis.  Carson is the son of Jennifer Dearborn and Scott Dearborn, and the brother of Nathan and Jarrett.
Sam Marks, age five, of Parsons.  Sam is the son of Chuck and Susan Marks and the little brother of Ben and Gavin
Colton Meadows, age three, of Parsons.  Colton is the son of Darren and Lisa Radford.
Bently Uffman, age three, of Hambleton.  Bently is the son of Kara and Joseph Uffman and brother to Hayden, Sawyer, and Lukays.
Sawyer Uffman, age four, of Hambleton.  Sawyer is the son of Kara and Joseph Uffman and brother to Hayden, Bently, and Lukays.
Each of the contestants received a goodie bag with loads of TCHS spirit items!  Little Miss Mountain Lion received a crown, sash, and a cheer uniform to match the TCHS cheerleaders.  The winner was Chloe Jones.
Little Mr Mountain Lion received a hat, sash, and a TCHS football jersey.  The winner was Sam Marks.
