The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) named Pickin’ in Parsons Bluegrass Festival as the recipient of the 2017 Event of the Year award on Thursday, September 28th at the Awards luncheon in Raleigh NC.

Pickin’ in Parsons Bluegrass Festival is a five day event that is held annually at Five River Campground in Tucker County, WV. It is known for its outstanding lineup, family friendly atmosphere, campfire jams and beautiful location.

Co owner, John Bowers stated “It’s the realization of a dream. There is no higher award for a bluegrass event. We are truly honored to be IBMA’s Event of the Year.”

The IBMA is the trade association that connects and educates bluegrass professionals. Awards are given to musicians, vocalists, promoters, agents, and media outlets that excel in their field of bluegrass during the weeklong conference.
