Davis, WV, – Cory Chase, LMT, and Brian Menzies, DC, have opened up new offices for massage therapy and chiropractic in Davis, WV. Located in the historic Old Bank Building, Dr. Menzies and Mr. Chase each have their own treatment rooms and a comfortable waiting room. Services are by appointment. The public is invited to the Grand Opening on Monday, Dec. 2, from 2-6pm, which will have light food and refreshments, tours and information, and some free gift certificates.
Cory was born and raised in Tucker County and graduated from the internationally acclaimed Edgar Cayce/Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, Va., in 2002; he is also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of WVU (2009). He specializes in a holistic style of Swedish massage that includes passive stretching and thorough, full-body therapy. He has also been trained in Thai Yoga Massage, which uses acupressure, yoga postures, and breath work. “Massage therapy has something for everyone. It’s one of the more misunderstood and neglected forms of medicine in our culture and it is so much more than pampering. Massage is preventative medicine, its therapy, and it’s about time that we acknowledge its powerful benefits before going for a pill or surgery at the first sign of
dis-ease.” Chase says. “I am so happy to be providing my services to this area and I hope that the local population realizes the value of what Brian and I are offering.”
Dr. Menzies graduated from the Logan School of Chiropractic in 2003. His specialty is Sports Chiropractic. He offers care for the serious athlete, outdoor sportsman and even children. He helps with many forms of neck and back issues, as well as with shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle discomforts that may be interfering with your work, hobby or sport. Brian moved to the mountains of West Virginia in the summer of 2005 in order to enjoy whitewater kayaking, skiing, mountain biking and hunting. Currently, he splits his time between Morgantown and Davis. His work isn’t limited to athletes and many of his clients get relief after the very first session. “Chiropractic has been a vital part of my life ever since I broke my neck following a mountain bike crash in college. Chiropractic was the only care that helped me heal from that intense injury. I still use Chiropractic on a weekly basis in order to achieve my highest potential of health and well- being. It is my passion to share the benefits of Chiropractic with the Tucker County community.”
“With our combined experience of over 20 years, I am confident that people will find relief when they leave our office.” says Chase. “Everybody can benefit from our holistic approach to health; whether you are an athlete or work at a desk, a hunter or a skier, old or young, our services can help you maintain mental and physical well-being. We all suffer and we all seek relief, often through vices that don’t really serve to make us feel better in the long run. We are depriving ourselves of our own wellness. If we could see how much of our resources we essentially waste on these things that undermine our health, then that is the first step towards transforming your entire life. It is a rebirth, a redirection that makes room for growth and a much healthier lifestyle, and it’s up to you to take those steps. The question is: ‘Am I willing to take the reins of my own life and be brave enough to face the great responsibility of my own health?’”
