Terry Fluharty, with the West Virginia Department of Natural Resources, is now located in the basement of the Tucker County Court House, formerly the Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
Fluharty encourages anyone with a wildlife related problem or question to call his office at 304-478-3986 for non-emergencies.
He said, “If anyone sees an animal in distress, please do not approach or have contact with wildlife. Call 911 Dispatch and a law enforcement officer will assess the situation.” He further stated, “It is dangerous to approach a wild animal and please do not try to rescue young animals from any situation. Call for help first.”
