Used vehicles on the lot at Patriot in Davis.

Patriot Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram opened a pre-owned dealership in Davis across from Highland Market on December 1, as the only car dealership in Davis or Thomas. Paul and Mark Cornish own the two dealerships, after buying it from a pervious owner in November 2016.

Patriot Pre-Owned is the business’ second location in the area.  The original franchised location is in Oakland.  “Our focus is more to try to stay within the local economy.  We really like this area, and specifically, thought it would be nice for Davis and Thomas,” Cornish said.

Since the location in Davis in not part of the franchise, pre-owned vehicles of any make are sold.  “All brand pre-owned,” Cornish said.

Patriot’s slogan is “King of the 4-Wheel Drive.”  Cornish said the focus of the pre-owned and original location in Oakland is “off-road, fun vehicles.”

Paul Cornish and his brother have been in the car industry for 30 years, with a focus on sales and service.  “We are from this area, originally, we are both from Oakland,” Cornish said.

“As opposed to going into a major market, we wanted to stay in the smaller market, and we have a big footprint from the Oakland store,”” he said.

Paul reported a successful first year of owning Patriot, giving the brothers a chance to expand the business into Tucker County. “We had a nice increase in sales and service, which allowed us the opportunity to branch out into Davis,” Cornish said.

Trade-ins are an option at the location in Davis.  “All trades are welcome,” Cornish said.  Patriot will also buy used vehicles. Service is available at the location in Oakland.
