Elsewhere Salon is now open for business. Owner Courtney Barb has thirteen years of experience as a stylist, and specializes in tailored cuts and colors. By her side is BreAnne Marsh, who was an apprentice for Courtney for a year.

Upon finishing school, Marsh worked in Morgantown and Elkins. For those special occasions or if you just want to pamper yourself, Elsewhere also has a very talented and experienced makeup artist, Abby Elliot. Both Barb and Marsh wanted to bring their skills and services back home to Parsons, which is where the birth of Elsewhere takes place. “We love it here, we love the community”, stated Barb sincerely.

Offering all hair services, waxing, and formal styling, there is something for everyone at this new business. Elsewhere Salon is located at 428 Second Street in Parsons, where Darlene’s Hair Salon previously was, across from the laundry mat. “I also love bringing an old building back to life”, exclaimed Barb. “We have totally revamped the salon! It’s a space where I love to be and is very comfortable and chic”, she added. “Our goal is to provide our clients with a style they’ll love with future maintenance in mind. Maintaining a style can seem overwhelming, but we will provide you with options that suit your lifestyle and budget”, Barb said.

“We are all about our clients, so we do everything we can to suit your schedule”, exclaimed Marsh when asked about their hours of operation. “Our hours vary to accommodate everyone. We accept appointments Monday through Saturday”, she replied. “With our hours being so flexible, we do not have specific open hours, but gladly welcome walk-ins when we are in the shop”, Barb stated.

To schedule an appointment at Elsewhere Salon is quite easy. You can call or text 304-621-1090, in which Barb stated “We are really excited about the ability to text. It’s super convenient for us and our clients”. They can also be found on Facebook as elsewherewv or can be emailed at elsewherewv@gmail.com
