After nearly 23 months of planning, designing, advertising for bids and acquiring all needed permits from Home Land Security, FEMA, Core of Engineers, DNR, Fish and Wildlife, DOH, SHIPO (State Office of Historical Preservation) and City of Parsons, all repairs to the damaged Parsons Diversion Wall is now complete.

The possibility of further damage and possible flooding has been a major concern of residents in the Pulp MIll Bottom, and all of the City of Parsons.  This is the main Flood Protection for the City of flooding from the Shavers Fork River.

Tucker County Commission President, Lowell Moore said, “We want to thank all the following who have made this possible:  TRi-0Ad engineering, Morgantown; Sunrise Construction, Moatsville;  City of Parsons; FEMA Office; Home Land Security; and the patience and understanding of the residents of Parsons.”
