PARSONS – People in need of a new doo should visit Serenity Family Salon in Parsons. Owner Hannah Adkins said the shop reopened in July.
“We are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday,” Adkins said. “We have extended hours by appointment only. We have Saturday hours by appointment only.”
Adkins said she and Darlene, the former owner and stylist, offer haircuts, color, perms and pretty much anything people want for their hair.
“Right now we are doing manicures and pedicures,” Adkins said. “We are only offering acrylics until we can hire another nail tech.”
Serenity Family Salon is located at 428 2nd Street in the former location of Darlene’s Beauty Shop.
“We also offer tanning sessions,” Adkins said. “We have one tanning bed. We do take appointments but people can usually tan without an appointment as a walk-in.”
“I really like doing color,” Adkins said. “Darlene likes doing perms and colors.”
“We sell tanning oils, locally made melts and Doterra essential oils,” Adkins said. “We sell some shampoos, conditioners and hair sprays.”
Serenity Family Salon has a Facebook page. Additional information is available by calling them at 304-478-2557.
