Tucker County welcomes business coach Robert Hinton . Kicks off with first workshop October 22nd
State Director for West Virginia Small Business Development Center (WVSBDC) visited the Tucker County Development Authority. Kristina Oliver met local business leaders to announce the state’s new business coaching model and to introduce our new business coach for the Tucker County region.
Said Kristina: “The WVSBDC has been restructuring the agency’s focus and activities to provide added business development and technical assistance to existing small businesses that generate wealth creation within our communities.” She explained that the WVSBDC’s programs are now designed to provide high-quality business and economic development assistance to small businesses and entrepreneurs in order to promote growth, expansion, innovation, increased productivity and management improvement.
As part of this revamped mission, the WVSBDC is partnering with key organizations with an entrepreneurial focus across the state to establish an effective business coaching system throughout West Virginia. Executive Director Anne Jones of the Tucker County Development Authority was happy to learn that Tucker County is the recipient of one of the new business coaches. Said Anne: “This has been a great year for Tucker County and the support of a business coach dedicated to our region recognizes the hard work of our local businesses.
Rob Hinton, an entrepreneur and previous business owner will be the new small business coach covering the Tucker County Region.
