Strutters Baton and Dance Team was originally established 23 years ago by Patty Delauder in Barbour County as a nonprofit organization offering free baton twirling classes and dance to children ranging in two to 25 years of age and still in school. The group has since grown into Tucker, Randolph, Upshur, Harrison, counties.

The group not only participate in parades but also enjoy performing as a competitive team traveling throughout West Virginia and surrounding states to compete in baton twirling and dance competitions. The group has traveled to the Citrus Bowl to perform as halftime performers in 2018 and 2020 and have also performed in the Neptune Festival Parade at Virginia Beach, Virginia. This year was the very first time in 23 years the kids were able to compete at a National level and they traveled to Aiken South Carolina where they competed for a National Championship for the Drum Majorettes of America where they won a National Championship Trophy in their Xlg Junior Dance line and their Large Junior Dance line. The performers competed throughout the day with 96 other teams. The group has won several State, Regional and now National Titles for their 2022-2023 season.  The group is currently accepting new members and is inviting children to join for the upcoming fall and winter season. No monthly fees or Membership fees. Please contact Patty at 304-621-3382
