PARSONS – A Tucker County Grand Jury handed down indictments on four individuals Tuesday in Tucker County Circuit Court including one direct indictment.
Angela Arnold, 41, of Hambleton was charged with one count of embezzlement in the sealed indictment.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the Tucker County Courthouse, Arnold allegedly falsified logs to conceal the removal and theft of approximately $33,000 from her then employer. The complaint alleges the theft allegedly occurred between Feb. 12, 2013 and July 31, 2013.
Also, James D. Wilson, 52, of Dryfork, was indicted on five counts first degree sexual assault, five counts second degree sexual assault and 10 counts sexual abuse by parent, guardian, custodian or person in a position of trust.
According to a criminal complaint filed at the Tucker County Courthouse on May 19, the referral for the charges came from the Department of Health and Human Resources and said that Child Protective Services made contact with the alleged victim and the family. It stated an interview was conducted by the Children’s Advocacy Center.
The complaint states during that interview, a minor disclosed sexual assault which allegedly took place in Tucker County on July 26, 2008 during a family reunion. The complaint said the alleged victim said Wilson took them into a barn on the family property and threatened the life of the victim, their family and the family pet if the victim would not engage in sexual intercourse.
Others indicted during Tuesday’s Tucker County Grand Jury session include:
Jonathan C. Lambert, 19, of Buckhannon. Lambert was indicted on one count of first degree sexual assault and one count of first degree sexual abuse.
Dalton J. Roy, 20, of Davis was indicted on one count of fleeing causing bodily injury, one count of reckless driving and one count of DUI under the age of 21.
Cases were presented to the Tucker County Grand Jury by Tucker County Prosecuting Attorney Ray LaMora III. Tucker County Circuit Judge Lynn A. Nelson presided over the tucker County Grand Jury.
An indictment is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
