According to a press release from the Parsons detachment of the West Virginia State Police, on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at approximately 5:11 a.m. Tucker Communication received a 911 call concerning a female that had been shot in the chest, located in the Pheasant Run area of Tucker County.
The West Virginia State Police, assisted by the Tucker County Sheriffs Department along with the Tucker County EMS responded. Upon arrival a female was located inside a residence at 905 Pheasant Run Road, Kerens WV.
The Female was found with a gunshot wound to her right upper chest area, and was transported by Tucker Coonty EMS to Davis Memorial Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Immediate family has been notified, and this is an active ongoing investigation.
