CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council announced funding for two sewer and one water projects at its meeting on July 5. Among those approved are Canaan Valley Public Service District. The council approved a $500,000 grant to the Canaan Valley PSD in Tucker County to extend sewer service to Winwood Resort, Deerfield Village, and Canaan Village. This grant, along with funds from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) provide $3.4 million for the project.
The council noted as of June 30 (end of fiscal year) it has approximately $83.5 million of binding commitments for approximately 72 projects estimated to cost $284.7 million that are projected to go to construction in the following 12 months.
