Bridget Ann Martin Kennard, 57, of Davis, West Virginia passed away April 4, 2019 in Oakland, Maryland at Garrett Regional Medical Center. She was born May 24, 1961 in Clarksburg, West Virginia.


She is survived by her husband, Michael Kennard, whom she married on June 12, 1982; and by her son, JayDee Kennard, his companion, Katie Sponaugle and their Bundle of Joy that is on its way. She is also survived by six brothers, Emory Jr. (Brenda) Martin, Kenneth (Cindy) Martin, Doug Martin, Jerry Martin, Lewis (Joann) Pregley and Patrick (JoJo)Pregley, two sisters, Terry (James) Hull and Paula (Dave) Lara, mother-in-law, Dorothy Kennard, two sisters-in-law, Debbie Kennard and JoAnn Kennard Miller.

She was preceded in death by her father, Emory Martin, mother, Maxine Martin, and stepmother, Eileen Martin. Also preceding her in death, Frank Pregley, Gary Pregley, Barbara Pregley Bozic Martin, and Christina Kennard.

She graduated from Tucker County High School in 1979. She loved camping, needlework crafts, hunting, and four-wheeling. She enjoyed serving her community in any way she could. She loved animals, especially birds and ferrets. She left behind her beloved pet, Rascal. She was affiliated with the Davis United Methodist Church and served the church as a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the FOE #936 of Davis, West Virginia, the Farm Bureau, and a board member of the Davis Community Center.

Friends were received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Friday, April 5, from 5 – 8 p.m. Funeral services were held, 2 p., Saturday, April 6, at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jay Bunting officiating. Graveside services were conducted at Davis Cemetery. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
