Anna Belle (Dumire) Pennington

AnnaBelle(Dumire)PenningtonANNA BELLE (DUMIRE) PENNINGTON, age 95 years, a native of Tucker County, WV, a resident of Keyser, WV and since September a resident of Burlington, WV where she made her home with her daughter, Loretta Zirk departed this life Easter Sunday afternoon, April 5, 2015 at Potomac Valley Hospital at Keyser, WV surrounded by her family.

She was born Wednesday, December 3, 1919 at Jenningston, WV a daughter of the late Madison Byrd and Mamie Ethel Elza Pennington. She was twice married. First, to Howard Lorenza Dumire, and second to Terry Pennington, both who preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Raymond Gene Dumire of Eastlake, OH; four daughters, Margie Louise Evans of Mentor, OH, Betty Jane Ball of Alliance, OH, Mary Lee Phillips and husband Lonnie of Mackeyville, WV, Loretta Mae Zirk of Burlington, WV; sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by one son, Ricky Allen Dumire; one brother, Clarence Pennington; three sisters, Lois Pennington, Verla Paugh and Evelyn May Pennington; and two granddaughters, Sherry and Mary Lynn Phillips.

She was a graduate of Thomas High School with the class of 1938. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church at Keyser. She was a devout Christian, was a Preacher and she was a Sunday School Teacher at church and at home. She enjoyed playing her guitar, quilting, gardening, canning, and just being outdoors.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. Pat Cassidy will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for ANNA BELLE (DUMIRE) PENNINGTON.
