Betty Jean Whitehead, age 68, of Sand Creek, Michigan died Friday, May 17, 2024, at her home. She was born March 13, 1956, in Parsons, WV, to Melvin and Lucy Jean (Harmon) Nestor. On August 18, 1997, she married Earl Whitehead in Toledo, OH. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2016.
Betty was employed by Merillat Industries for 33 years. She attended Jasper Bible Church. She loved the color purple, working with flowers, cake decorating, photography, and crafts. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, James (Danielle) Wilson of Archbold, OH and Chad Wilson (Rachel Niles) of Morenci; six grandchildren, Jasmine, Joseline, Clinton, Clara, Easton, and Teagan; her siblings, Garrett Nestor of Parsons, WV, Nancy Shaffer Nestor of Parsons, WV, and Leonard Nestor of Parsons, WV; brother-in-law, Bill Whitehead of Toledo, OH. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Vicky Bodkins
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 4:00 p.m., at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian, Michigan with Rev. Bruce Jewitt officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation also on Tuesday, from 2:00 p.m. until the service begins. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in Parsons City Cemetery in Parsons, WV.
