Clifford Fred “Cliff” Kincaid, Sr., 77, a former resident of Parsons and for the past four years, a resident of Nella’s Incorporated, passed from this life late Wednesday evening, January 1, 2014 at the Davis Memorial Hospital Emergency Department in Elkins.
Cliff was born Monday, July 27, 1936 in Idaho, a son of the late Walter Kincaid and Hazel Endicott Kincaid. On March 17, 1961 in Baltimore, MD, he married the former Minnie Mae Boyles, who preceded him in death.
Left to cherish Cliff’s memory are his children, Clifford Kincaid, Jr. and wife, Teresa of Parsons, Charlotte “Jean” Wingfield and husband, John of Elkins and Barbara Fitzwater and husband, Alfred, Roger Poling, and James Poling and wife, Janice, all of St. George, two sisters, Barbara Zumwalt of Spokane, WA and Mary Gage of Bedford, OR, eleven grandchildren, Jessica Kincaid, Joshua Kincaid, Jeff Fitzwater, Jenny Canfield, Teresa Evans, Angie Dewitt, Scott Poling, Ryan Poling, Jimmy Poling, Matt Poling and Josh Poling, several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Cliff was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Kincaid and Ernie Kincaid.
Cliff attended the schools of Idaho and was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a former employee of Superior Meat Products. He enjoyed watching football, but he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation was held at the Summerfield Funeral Home in Parsons on Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services were held from the funeral chapel on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. Junior Helmick officiated and interment followed at the Pifer Mountain Cemetery near St. George. The Summerfield Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Clifford Fred “Cliff” Kincaid, Sr.
