Donna Jean Dumire Eskridge of Thomas, WV passed away June 25, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born September 23, 1948 in Thomas, WV, a daughter to the late Cecil Dumire and Sylvia Dawson Dumire.

She is survived by two brothers, Virgil Dumire and his wife Janet Rush Dumire of Elkins, WV and Jerry Dumire and his wife Kathy Hinkle Dumire of Parsons, WV. Also her loving husband of almost 56 years, Joey Lee Eskridge Sr. and her faithful canine companion, Baby, three children, Joey Lee Eskridge Jr. and wife Theressa Arnold Eskridge of Reedsville, WV, Evonne Eskridge Kuykendall of Oakland, MD, and Jodi Eskridge Myers and husband Wick Myers II of Aurora, WV, five grandchildren, Stephanie Kuykendall Murphy and husband Fred Murphy of Carlisle, PA, Adam Kuykendall and wife Jenn Proper Kuykendall of Newville, PA, Wickey Myers III and girlfriend Briana Getz of Aurora, WV, Ryan Myers and wife Chelsea Waugaman Myers of Aurora, WV, Grayson Eskridge of Reedsville, WV, and five great grandchildren, Caleb, Cody, Maddy, Ari and Abel.

Donna was a homemaker, she worked for a period of time at Cortland Acres Nursing home. But first and foremost, she was a mom, a grandmother and a wife. She loved us all unconditionally and her grandchildren were her life.

Her patience, kindness and understanding touched all our lives and will forever be ingrained in our memories of her. She was a strong woman with a strong will and loving heart. Her greatest joy was having her kids and grandkids home to visit. We will miss her but know she will be watching over us and waiting for us to “come home.”

At the request of the family a small service will be held for immediate family only due to COVID-19. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. We encourage our communities to support the family through sharing memories and condolences through our website, www.hinklefennerfuneralhome.com To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Donna Jean Dumire Eskridge, please visit our floral store.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations can be made to a local charity of your choice.
