Donnie Lee Moore

Donnie Lee Moore, age 77 years, a resident of Hendricks, WV departed this life early Friday morning, January 13, 2017 at the United Hospital Center at Bridgeport, WV.  He had been in declining health since suffering a heart attack in December of 2016, although death was unexpected. 
He was born Wednesday, July 12, 1939 at St. George, WV, a son of the late Jesse Reed and Hester Loretta Moore.  On June 9, 1962 at Washington, DC, he was married to the former Margaret “Tootsie” Sobrito, who preceded him in death October 24, 2003.  They had celebrated forty-three years of marriage. 
Surviving are two sons, Paul Kenneth Moore of Bowie, MD, Randy Moore and wife Kelly of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Cheryl Ann Burneskis and husband Curt of Bowie, MD; one brother, Okey Ray Moore and wife Mary of Parsons; one sister, Wilma Carol Pascale of Davidsonville, MD; three grandchildren, Patrick Kenneth Moore, Nicholas Steven Burneskis, and Katelyn Marie Burneskis; and several nieces and nephews. 
Preceding him in death is one sister, Carolyn Faye Ankney.
He attended Parsons High School.  He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of the H.W. Daniels Post # 29 American Legion of Elkins.  He was a former employee of the United States Postal Service; and Heating and Oil Companies, where he was a service technician, and a former employee of Wells Fargo.  He was owner and operator of Don’s Heating and Don’s Trophies and Plaques.  Donnie enjoyed bowling in his spare time.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m.   Mr. Moore will then be moved to the Little Church at Fort Lincoln Cemetery at Brentwood, MD, where friends may call on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, with a graveside service following.  The Rev. Joan Rainsburger will officiate and interment will follow at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery at Brentwood, MD.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Donnie Lee Moore.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com
